Gutter Clearing

We have our own top of the range gutter vacuum system, which allows us to remove the debris from you guttering safely from the ground, up to heights of 50ft. Not only is this method safer for our staff, it also protects your property too, preventing the need to place ladders on your garden lawns, or against the walls of your home. In some cases, we do still use ladders when required, but do so carefully and only when there is no other option.

Our gutter vacuum system comes with a recordable CCTV system which allows us to survey the guttering before and after the job has taken place, which allows us to ensure the gutters are free and clear, and this also allows us to let you, the customer, see the condition of your guttering at the same time.

We have invested in a specialist 40m long hose for our vacuum, which allows us to take the hose and suction poles up in the air when using access equipment. This is a real game-changer in the fact that it allows us to access guttering that is extremely hard to reach. Using a combination of the cherry picker and our long hose and suction poles, it allows us to position ourselves up in the air and close to the area in question, then to reach out with our suction poles to clear the guttering out. This has proven to be a fantastic way to access hard to reach sections of guttering and saves the need and extra cost required to erect scaffolding to get to these otherwise unreachable areas.

In some cases, the gutter vacuum system may not be a viable option, and access equipment must be used to clear your guttering out. We are highly experienced in using access equipment, and will be able to provide you with an access solution whatever the challenge may be.

Our staff are IPAF trained to operate the following machines:

• Mobile Vertical (3a)
• Mobile Boom (3b)
• Static Boom (1b)

These qualifications allow us to use all kinds of access equipment such as Scissor Lifts, Vertical Booms, Mobile & Truck Mount Cherry Picker’s, and Spider Cherry Pickers.

We own our very own 20m Truck Mount Cherry Picker which gives us greater options when dealing with challenging commercial properties, and the complexities that come with these buildings. Having our own machine gives us greater flexibility when carrying out gutter clearing work with access equipment, it also allows us to be more competitive with our pricing as it prevents us from hiring in third party machinery.

If your premises is on a public road, an occupation permit will be required from your local council in order to use the machine on a public road or footpath. In some cases, specialist traffic management may be required in busy area’s to ensure steady traffic flow is maintained. As part of our service, we carry out all permit applications as well as creating and submitting all method statements and risk assessment that must accompany the permit application.
